Yes! you can start your own blog in as fast as one hour and your blog is up the internet. Follow the steps by step tutorial outlined in this article and you are able to set up your own blogg in mere 1 hour.
But Wait! Before you jump into it, let’s take a moment to do some preparation work. You need to select a domain name of your choice. Preferably 2 or 3 for standby in case your choice is taken up.
What is a domain?
A domain is a name that represents your “web address” in the internet that allows your visitor to find you in the internet. It is also a unique name for your hosting company to identify you (your blog or website). Example of a domain name:-
http://www.YourDomain.com or http://bloggingmoneyonline.com
Beware that once you have registered a domain name, it cannot be changed. So, you need to think wisely what name you want to use for your domain. There is not hard rule about the format of the domain name these days but there are some best practices with the domain name. Some of the best practices are:-
- short and easy domain name
- domain name has Keyword build-in
- Not more than 3 words
- Use alphabet characters only
- No punctuation
Like the example above, my blogg http://SwotAnalysisTemplate.com, it contain three words which is my long tail keywords made up from “swot”+”analysis”+”template”. I leave the explanations why I chosen this domain name at a later stage.
Like I said, there is not hard rule to the domain name but merely best practices. These best practices has a some merit to the search engine optimization whereby your domain name with keyword is likely indexed by search engine fast. However, if you prefer, you can use your own name as your domain name for your first blogg. There are many blogger did that. Get 2 -3 domain names as standby because your domain name may be taken up by someone.

Step 1) Buy a domain name ( 5 minutes )
You can get cheap domain name from many resources. You need to pay up to USD$15 a year depending on which company you bought from. Since it is a small amount of money, we will not spend time to compare prices. Or best still, get a FREE domain here with your hosting package. Step 2: Get your Domain Hosted ( 10 minutes, you have done it at step 1, lets move on to step 3 )
A hosting is referred to getting your domain linked up with your visitor over the internet. It is like a telephone company who transmit your telephone dialing to the person you want to speak with. Now while waiting for your email, let’s take 5 minutes to think what topic you want to write in your blog. You can write something of your interest like hobbies, sports, knowledge sharing, gardening, flower arrangement, photography etc. What is important now is to get started. Just pick any topic!

Step 3) Prepare your first article ( 5 minutes )
Never mind, lets do some other preparation. Let’s start a simple articles to be posted later. To save time, I have prepared several PLR articles for you to post it into your blog. You can edit or change the whole article later. It is important that you publish your article to the internet as soon as you can for the search engine to index your blog. It may take up to 1 week for google to index your blog.
For Window based computer, open any text editor such as MS Word or notepad etc. Start to write a short article about your interest that is similar to the keyword you have chosen. If you do not have any keyword selected, write anything at all. Still cannot? click on one of the PLR article from the list below, open the article file, do some editing if you like so that it is like your own written article. Then you have an article on standby

Step 4) Get familiar with your cpanel ( 5 minutes )
